I love to photograph weddings, and am lucky to have been a wedding and engagement photographer for over a decade. I have also worked in advertising and editorial photography, but there's something unique about the energy and beauty of weddings. I am honored to meet and work with so many great couples, their families, and friends on such an important day. I've found that being a wedding photographer isn't just about capturing great images, but is also about supporting the couple to make sure they can relax and have fun on their day. I enjoy being able to be a bride's confidant or to help a groom to perfect his Windsor knot. I enjoy working with each couple to ensure that the details and warmth of their event are captured. Photography creates a way for couples to share and look back on the joy of their day. Getting to document that happiness is perhaps the most fulfilling part of wedding photography.

I am an Oakland-based photographer with an eye that moves towards love and bodies. My perspective draws on my documentary education at Stanford, and as such the images I produce come from a place of seeking to illuminate the beauty of what is real, rather than creating a false fantasy. My intention with my work and my life is to make love visible. I spend a lot of my time exploring the theme of intimacy through nude and erotic photography, shooting subjects of all genders in sex positive communities as well as exhibitionists of all types, from dominatrixes to burlesque dancers.

Photography is my passion and what I truly love to do! I first picked up a camera at a very young age and was instantly obsessed. My interest started during trips around the world. I found it important to take photos to preserve the wonderful memories and moments. A beautiful flower, the sunrise and sunset, architecture, the ocean. But the photos I cherished the most were of people and the story their faces and bodies portrayed - happiness, laughter, sheer joy, sadness, excitement, awe. My particular specialization is capturing families and children in their most candid, and real moments. Sure, there's always the occasional pose during a session, but it's always the in between, candid shots that shine the brightest.
