We begin with the finished piece in mind. I create black-and-white portrait commissions that combine the discipline of fine-art photography with a personal, fully directed experience. Each commission starts with a conversation about who you are now, what you want the portrait to hold, and where it will live. The finished work is made as archival prints, framed wall pieces, or heirloom albums, including silver gelatin and platinum prints. The goal is a portrait that feels true to you and earns a permanent place in your home. I take on a limited number of commissions in Sacramento, across Northern California, and worldwide by appointment.
