Raffensberger Photography really started in 1959 when my father Roy M. Raffensberger met my mother Patricia M. Yoe, while stationed at Rickenbacker Air Force Base as a photographer. Some say I was born with a camera in my hand. At the young age of 5 or so I can remember printing black and white photographs in my parent's basement where my father had built a darkroom. As soon as I learned how to behave myself dad would take me to weddings with him. At the age of 14 I shot my first solo wedding and continued shooting weddings for the family business through high school. I Graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School in 1983 and went on to graduate from The Ohio Institute of Photography with a portrait major in 1985. After collage I printed pictures at a lab and worked in lots of custom framing shops as well as still shooting for the family business.
