I took my first photography class at South Salem High School in 1991. I was taught the art of film photography and remember the excitement in watching my photos develop in the darkroom. Today, while I don’t use the darkroom, I still find excitement in capturing an image and making it come to life. After stepping away from photography for years, I was led back by the peace it brings in finding beauty in the little things. When I take photos of people, it’s the same. I recently had a teenage client review her photos. As she looked through them, she said to me, “Wow, I’m pretty”. Only three words, yet such power. That is the joy I get in creating memories for you! As for me, I’m happily married fifteen years to Deborah and together we have four children and are excitedly awaiting our first grandchild!
