JW Photography

I'm not a photographer who dips in & out for an hour & leaves. I live here in Southeast Houston & am a mom. I know what it's like to have a kid who won't smile because he has to put his phone down and be present with his family. I know what Monday feels like after a weekend of tournaments. When you tell me your toddler will be wild, I smile — I expect it. When you tell me your teenager thinks senior photos are cringey, I have a plan to make him actually laugh. When you tell me your middle child hates being in the middle, I make it my mission to get the shot where she feels like the star. Your session will never feel stiff or performative. We play. We walk. We joke. I might tell your kids to sprint at me full speed, or whisper their silliest secret to Dad. That's where the real stuff happens — the nose crinkle, the belly laugh, the way your husband looks at you when he thinks no one is watching. That's the photo you frame. I started this because I was tired of wishing I had more than blurry phone photos of years that flew by. I wanted to freeze time for other moms who feel that same ache — that desperate, nostalgic feeling that childhood is happening too fast and we can't hit pause.
