10-81 Driving Academy

“10-81” is the ten-code used by police officers to covertly identify each other as law enforcement. The 10-81 Driving Academy is a police officer owned and operated driving academy located in the Liberty, Missouri area. Every instructor with our driving academy has law enforcement experience. Each has an intimate knowledge and familiarity with traffic law, tactical driving, traffic collisions, and an acute ability to identify and address threats on the road. Every Police Officer receives training in the police academy commonly referred to as EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course). During this training, officers learn how to operate a motor vehicle in an emergency capacity, heavily focusing on staying out of collisions. While operating in an emergency capacity, it’s common for civilians to pull out in front of officers, failing to hear or see their lights and sirens. Officers need to be ready to respond to these situations and make split second decisions. EVOC training focuses on teaching them how to do this with real-time hands-on training. As certified EVOC instructors, we have designed a course to accomplish our mission of bringing this training to new or experienced drivers. Our exclusive *Real-Life Tactical Driving Course will train students in advanced braking, turning, and steering techniques that will equip them with the tools they need to keep themselves safe on an otherwise dangerous road.
