Ph.D Tutors specializes in English and math tutoring for middle and high school students, as well as test preparation (SAT, ACT, FCAT, GRE, and LSAT) and college admissions guidance. We provide a custom curriculum for each student, created during our free consultation. We offer experienced high school teachers and professors who are Ph.Ds or Ph.D candidates, with decades of experience as instructors. Our rates are far less than other tutoring centers and private tutors in Gainesville, and we are conveniently located in Thornebrook Village. We also provide weekend 4 and 8 hour college admissions, test prep, & tutoring group sessions.
What makes The Learning Garden unique is that it is built around the belief that every child grows differently—and deserves to be supported that way. At The Learning Garden, tutoring is not “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is thoughtfully personalized to match each student’s learning style, pace, and confidence level. This kind of individualized approach has been shown to help students build stronger understanding, close learning gaps, and improve confidence over time. What truly sets The Learning Garden apart is the combination of: Personalized learning plans – Each student receives support tailored specifically to their needs, strengths, and goals—not just the curriculum. A focus on confidence and emotional growth – Learning isn’t just academic here. Students are encouraged, supported, and reminded that they can succeed. A gentle, patient approach – Students are met where they are, without pressure, creating a safe space to learn and make mistakes. Real connection and trust – Families aren’t just clients—they’re part of a community that values communication, care, and progress. Flexibility for real life – Sessions are designed to fit each family’s schedule while keeping consistency and growth in mind. The Learning Garden is more than tutoring—it’s a place where students build skills, confidence, and a genuine love for learning.
