What Makes Us Unique The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation is a trauma-informed, parent-led nonprofit that helps at-risk youth earn legitimate homeschool high school diplomas—not GEDs. Founded by a mom who refused to let the system fail her children, we serve youth who’ve been pushed out of traditional education due to trauma, homelessness, LGBTQ+ discrimination, juvenile justice involvement, or chronic absenteeism. What sets us apart? We prioritize rural communities that are often overlooked, bringing high-quality academic support to places without access. Our diploma pathway is legal, affirming, and rooted in dignity, restoring hope for families who feel left behind. We launched the first rural co-responder model in the U.S., partnering law enforcement with mental health professionals to respond to crises with compassion. We serve the whole family, offering academic diagnostics, career training, parenting support, and wraparound services. With over 6,000 families served and more than 1,000 diplomas issued, our impact is real—and growing. We’re not just changing lives; we’re transforming futures.
