Desert Heights Preparatory Academy is an A-rated 6th–12th grade school in Glendale, Arizona, focused on preparing students for success in high school, college, career, and beyond. Bicentennial South Elementary School, located in Glendale, Ariz., serves students in kindergarten through grade three. The school offers a range of special programs, such as gifted and special education programs, Structured English Immersion and Title 1 school improvement programs, the Glendale Recreation After-School Program and student council programs. The school has a parent-teacher organization that conducts regular meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school. Bicentennial South Elementary School is a part of the Glendale Elementary School District, which operates through several departments, including educational services, curriculum and instruction, food services, human resources, information technology, maintenance, purchasing and transportation.
Founded in 1958, Luke Elementary School is a part of Dysart Unified School District 89, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The school provides general academic programs to more than 800 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It provides special education to gifted and talented students. It conducts classes in various subjects that include reading, writing, math and science. Luke Elementary School also offers the Title 1 and English Language Learners programs. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that conducts fundraising activities and special programs. In addition, it operates a cheerleading team and student council. The school features a computer lab and library and media center. Luke Elementary School provides food, transportation, guidance counseling and health care.
