Originally called Garfield Junior High School in memory of former President James A. Garfield, Martin Luther King Jr Middle School has served as one of the most acclaimed learning institutions of the region. Its present location dates back to the year 1922 and welcomes students from various surrounding neighborhoods. Along with a student-friendly and a transparent academic framework, the school also features an Edible Schoolyard. This has been developed to acquaint students with the science of farming and agronomy at an early age.
