The Cornerstone Schools of Alabama provides a range of educational services for more than 220 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Founded in 1993, it maintains elementary and middle schools. The school s academic curriculum includes visual arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. The Cornerstone Schools of Alabama also offers special education programs for gifted and talented students. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, the school maintains a parent-teacher organization and art club. The Cornerstone Schools of Alabama s extracurricular activities include piano and music. It also organizes field trips and provides volunteer opportunities.

Located in Birmingham, Ala., Glen Iris School serves the students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school houses a number of classrooms and research laboratories. It provides art, music, library, and physical education classes for its students. The Glen Iris and Five Points South Communities are areas for entertainment and historic preservation. Glen Iris School has a library and provides informative materials to its students. The school also provides fine arts programs, including band, choir and music.
Currently enrolling students ages 18 months - 8th Grade. We are the only Waldorf school in Alabama. Our curriculum is nonsectarian and multicultural, and includes plenty of outdoor play and learning. All core academic subjects are integrated with storytelling, art, drama, music, and movement, engaging students in a joyful learning experience. Subject classes include gardening, handwork, and two world languages (Russian and Spanish).
