Southminster Day School is a private school established in 1967. It is a mission of Southminster Presbyterian Church and it provides children of the community a background in their early formative years in a Christian atmosphere. The school guides and directs the children's growth in appreciation of spiritual values, social skills and attitudes, independence, emotional stability, self-expression and good habits. The Southminster Presbyterian Church is a congregation of approximately 500 members and is a part of the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley, the Synod of Living Waters, and the Presbyterian Church.
All Saints' Episcopal Preschool is a ministry of All Saints' Episcopal Church. The preschool serves children ages six months to 5K Kindergarten. Our program operates on an academic calendar (August through May) with a special session offered during the summer. Our mission is to provide a positive, nurturing, Christ-centered educational environment using developmentally appropriate activities to encourage each child to reach his or her fullest potential. Our Preschool uses the Zaner-Bloser and WEE Learning Curriculums to help the teachers to organize and prepare daily classroom experiences for all the children. Also, all age children participate in a special Music Class and a Creative Movement Class during the week. For all children enrolled in the three, four and five-year-old classes, a weekly Chapel service and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd class is taught.
