Yulupa Elementary is a primary school in the Bennett Valley Union School District. It serves primary-age children from kindergarten through grade 3 and also has an on-site nonprofit preschool. Both schools have on site child-care run by the YMCA and after school enrichment programs run by Santa Rosa City Parks and Recreation. The school s curriculum exceeds State academic learning standards at all grade levels. All students follow a rigorous standards-based comprehensive academic program in english/language arts, mathematics, science, history/social studies, physical education and the visual/performing arts.
Douglas Whited Elementary School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 300 students in grades two through five. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, English, mathematics, science and social studies. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. Douglas Whited Elementary School s staff includes an academic counselor, psychologist, social worker, computer technician, library and media teacher, and speech, language and hearing specialist. Whited Elementary School is a part of the Rincon Valley Union School District, which serves more than 2,600 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its schools' curriculum includes special education, Waterford early reading, accelerated reader and language for learning programs. In addition, its schools operate homework and math facts clubs.
