Boulder Journey School is a private preschool located at the north end of Boulder, Colo. The school s environment is designed to support connections between the school and the community. The physical space consists of classrooms, a studio and a theater that are filled with collections of natural materials gathered by families and faculty. The setting includes a garden of indigenous plants, a water flume that mirrors the Boulder Creek, a model of the Pearl Street Mall constructed by the children, a rock climbing wall and a replica of the Dushanbe Tea House. Boulder Journey School is a gathering place for children, families, members of the community and educators from around the world. Rainbow is a small, high quality, learning based center tucked away in south boulder. Our center has provided a safe, nurturing environment for over 30 years. We have excellent low student/teacher ratios, offer flexible schedules, easy access to superior, Louisville, and Lafayette, enroll only 25 children per day, and have 2,634 square feet of play space (and that's just inside!). Our program includes structured, small group times with planned activities, as well as plenty of free time to explore and be creative. We place great emphasis on reading to the kids, many healthy movement activities, positive interaction between adults and other children, being a garden to table school, and being lively playful and fun!
