Kids' Choice provides quality care for children 2-5yrs of age. Our mission is to establish a safe, healthy, nurturing, learning environment for young children and to meet the needs of our families and to have a positive relationship with these families. We offer a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences daily. Children learn and develop through "hands on experience", playing and living skills, as well as the ability to care for her/himself and for others. Our curriculum includes play as the primary mode of learning. Teachers use conflict resolution techniques to guide the children through their daily interactions. By learning to cooperate and use their positive words with their peers and each other, helps create a happy classroom. We use our Powerful Words! We create a learning environment that promotes choices and doing self selection. We at Kids' Choice a trained to provide a positive experience for the child on a social, academic and emotional level. We teach the kids' that their feelings are important. We help the child to develop a positive self image and problem solving skills that they will use through out their life. Pinon Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. It is a part of Los Alamos Public Schools.
