Lincoln Elementary School has been honored by the Department of Education with the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award for continuous its academic achievement. The school serves more than 800 students in kindergarten through grade six in the state of New York. Its academic curriculum includes reading, spelling, math, science and social studies. William H. Holmes Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school operates a student council that organizes various school events, such as Canned Food Drive, Teacher Appreciation, Litter Patrol and Special Days. It organizes various activities, Christmas parades, monthly birthday and honor roll parties, spring festival penny drives and parent involvement programs. In addition, Park Orchard Elementary offers English as a Second Language and special education programs. The school s facilities include a cafeteria, library and media center and science laboratory. Located in Mount Vernon, N.Y., it is a part of the Mt. Vernon City School District.
