Roosevelt High School is a secondary school offering educational instruction to students from grades nine through 12. The high school has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and is a part of the Sioux Falls School District 49-5. Established in 1991, the school s curriculum comprises English, American literature, family and consumer science, fine arts, foreign languages, health and driver's education, mathematics, military science, music, physical education, science and social studies. The school has athletic teams for various sports and provides several extracurricular activities. It is approved by the South Dakota Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Founded in 1995, St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School is an educational institution that serves students in kindergarten through grade six. It maintains a lunchroom, library and classrooms. St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School teaches various foreign languages, such as German, French and Spanish. In association with other schools, it offers speech, physical and occupational therapies. St. Michael + St. Katharine Drexel School additionally advises, plans and organizes several fundraising and social events. The school provides religion education and participates in religious masses.
