Established in 1993, Morningside Elementary School serves more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in language arts, reading, math, science, social studies, music, art and physical education. It organizes theme-based family nights, holiday craft nights, book buddies, safety patrol, and Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Morningside Elementary School received Gold Performance acknowledgements from the Texas Education Agency for attendance in 2007. The elementary school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts regular meetings and funds various school events and activities. Morningside Elementary School is a part of the Lewisville Independent School District and is located in The Colony, Texas.
