West Port High School

West Port High School is a coeducational institution that offers various academic programs, including general graduation, honors, advanced placement and dual enrollment courses. The school provides classes to students in grades nine through 12, and participates in and offers a variety of co-curricular and athletic activities within its programs. Its syllabus includes math, English language, biology, world history, physics, chemistry, anatomy, and American government economics. It offers a wide range of sports, such as bowling, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, cross country, golf and soccer. The school houses a media center, computer and science labs, and various clubs that include chess, key, French, literary, ecology and sign language. West Port High School is a member of the Florida High School Activities Association and it is located in Ocala, Fla. It is operated by Marion County Schools.

In operation for more than 20 years, Cornerstone School is a community-based school that offers educational opportunities for students. The school serves more than 200 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. It provides classes in language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. Cornerstone School also offers programs in Spanish, physical education, music, art and ethics. The school publishes a newsletter that offers information about upcoming events for parents and students. It additionally coordinates various fundraising events. Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, located in Ocala, Fla., serves the spiritual, educational and social needs of the community. Blessed Trinity School is a ministry of Blessed Trinity with more than 70 years of history in serving the academic needs of families in Marion County, Fla. The Catholic school provides a setting in which faith and values are an integral part of the educational program. Brothers Keeper is a ministry of Blessed Trinity that serves the needy of Marion County. It is supported by a staff of volunteers and its office is open Monday through Friday to provide emergency food, utility assistance, prescriptions, food or clothing vouchers and other forms of assistance. The ministry also qualifies clients for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. The ministry of religious education encompasses many areas and age groups. Blessed Trinity also has an endowment and charitable trust. It has 75 charter members and many generous benefactors.

Howard Middle School, Established in 1955 as Howard High School, is an educational institution that serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes English, language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, computer applications, and health and physical education. The school maintains an academic team, jazz and ensemble band and National Junior Honor Society, as well as has art, athletics, tutoring, ecology, youth achievers and science clubs. Howard Middle School has an annual enrollment of more than 1,120 students and is comprised of over 70 teachers and administrators. The school is a part of Marion County Public Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools. Good Hope Middle School is located in Ocala, Fla.
