Rockford Lutheran School offers a range of academic, athletic and arts programs. The school has a parent-teacher organization that conducts meetings to foster growth and development of the education programs. It has a computer lab that helps students in learning typing skills and creating PowerPoint projects related academically to science, social studies and math. Berean Baptist Christian Schools, founded in 1977 and based in Rockford, Ill., is a ministry of Berean Baptist Church. Its elementary, middle and high schools offer a range of subjects, including Bible, penmanship, health, computer, history, science and mathematics. The school is a member of the Illinois Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. Before and after school extended care is offered for working parents of children in first- and second-grade.
