Burncoat Middle School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and enrichment programs. The school, also known as WPS, enrolls students in grades seven and eight. It offers classes in English, science, and health, technology and physical education. The school also provides lessons in mathematics, social studies, and physical, visual and language arts. In addition, Burncoat Middle School offers classes in world languages, such as Spanish and French. The school offers guidance counseling, transportation and food services. Founded in 1913 the Guild's mission is to: Provide families with quality, affordable, early childhood education and school age programs in a safe, nurturing, environment for children 4 weeks to 12 years. Today, the Guild is the largest early education and care agency in Central Massachusetts, serving approximately 1,450 children in 7 child care centers, 100+ licensed family homes and 11 school age programs.
