Founded in 2000, Village School is a charter educational institution that offers a range of academic programs and extracurricular activities. It serves more than 180 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school provides classes in various subjects, such as Spanish, art, math, and physical and special education. Village School also offers lessons in painting, drawing, drama and music. The schools operates the Title I program and a student council. It maintains a cafeteria that provides lunch and breakfast options. In addition, the school hosts parent information meetings and offers volunteer opportunities. Village School accepts donations from individuals and businesses.
Prairie Mountain School is an educational facility that offers academic cocurricular programs for children in kindergarten through grade eight. It enrolls more than 785 students and provides classes in art, social studies, science, math and computer education. Prairie Mountain School has a library that stocks an inventory of reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, magazines, professional teaching aids, and picture, fiction and nonfiction books. The library also features reading and story corners, as well as has several games, puzzles, color sheets and computers. The school offers Be Enthusiastic About Reading Students (B.E.A.R.S.), a library volunteer program. Located in Eugene, Ore., Prairie Mountain School is a part of the Bethel School District, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools and offers educational services to more than 5,700 children.
