Bucher Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 280 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s core curriculum includes math, science, music, art, physical education and social studies. It offers a range of athletic activities, such as basketball, baseball, bowling, swimming, golf, soccer, tennis, cross-country, and track and field. Bucher Elementary School s library stocks a selection of books and reference materials. In addition, the school operates a parent-teacher organization. Bucher Elementary School also provides English as a Second Language and gifted and talented education programs. The school is governed by the Manheim Township School District, which manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
Lancaster Country Day School is a private, college-preparatory school that combines a rigorous curriculum with a supportive and encouraging faculty to ensure that every preschool-12th grade student receives the best education available. It is funded through membership dues and provides many opportunities, activities and aids to students, faculty and parents such as the family directory, faculty and staff appreciation dinner, career day for students, speakers and programs for students and parents and volunteer opportunities for parents.
