Holy Cross Lutheran Church & School

The mission of our church and school is to bring the Gospel of Christ to our community through worship, education, service and fellowship. Holy Cross Lutheran School provides high-quality, Christian education to children from age 3 through eighth grade, so that they may be equipped for a lifetime of service to their Savior, their families, their churches, and their communities. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that also includes many extracurricular opportunities, including choir, band, strings and a strong athletic program. Our student-teacher ratio is approximately 15:1 and our students consistently achieve national test scores well above average. Non-member tuition is competitive with any Madison area private school. Tuition for families of other Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and Evangelical Lutheran Synod congregations is set at the same significantly reduced rate as that for members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Playhaven Child Care

50th Year Anniversary! A Great Place to be a Kid! At Play Haven we provide educational child care in the Madison and Sun Prairie area. For 50 years we have been passionate about providing children with the tools that they need to be successful in every area of their lives. We are committed to providing children with a safe, secure, loving environment in which they can grow and learn.

Big Oak is a small, not-for-profit, progressive childcare center on Madison's east side. Big Oak strives to provide a home-like atmosphere in a building that was converted from a private family home. The toddler programs are on the first floor and the preschool is upstairs. Though each program has separate agendas, occasionally activities are provided that all Big Oak children can participate in together. A child can enter Big Oak as a toddler and move into the preschool until they're ready for kindergarten. The staff recognizes the need for consistency. The routines and schedules they provide incorporate activities that foster children's interests and emerging skills while allowing children freedom of movement to provide a positive, empowering experience.
