Die Rasselbande Preschool is a non-profit German immersion preschool for children from ages 2-5 years old. We offer a play-based program that attends to the whole child, enriching and supporting each child's experience and development. Our community consists of dedicated teachers, engaged families, and supportive board members, all working together to ensure that your child's first experience of school is filled with joy. Our teachers’ knowledge in the field of child development provides appropriate developmental experiences and opportunities for each child through careful planning and observations of their group of children. The many facets of language are interwoven through all of the activities. Each child’s creative nature is developed, enhanced and challenged. Children are encouraged to develop the necessary physical, emotional and social skills to become independent thinkers in a group setting. German is primarily spoken during preschool hours. Gestures, pointing games, dramatization, props, and repetition help to support children for whom German is a foreign language. To ensure the children’s safety and understanding, some English language may be used. All communication to the parent body and official records are in English.
