We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at all ages and our "Purposeful play" Infant curriculum is designed to give babies, 6 weeks to 18 months, the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning. We provide a high quality child care program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 14 years of age. Our number one goal: Happy and healthy children that enjoy coming to school. We recognize each child as the very unique individual they are. Our program is designed to meet each child's individual need in several different areas. These include: social, emotional, cognitive and physical. We accomplish this by utilizing a very specific curriculum that includes both a developmental approach along with an emphasis on academics. Our daily program offers time for teacher and child directed activities along with indoor and outdoor activities. Teachers are qualified in the field of Early Childhood Education. Teachers are selected for their caring attitude and their genuine enjoyment of children. Teachers in our preschool program implement lesson plan based on a weekly theme. Curriculum areas include: Arts and crafts, language arts and literature, science, dramatic play and cognitive activities that encourage pre-math, pre-reading and pre-writing skills. We focus on physical development of both small and gross motor skills. The social/emotional aspect of preschool is one of the most valuable experiences your child can gain by attending school. Rainbow After School Care and Preschool programs provide a nurturing learning environment for children 3 years old to13 years old. All staff have completed a state clearance, classroom training, and a probation period. Some of our staff are bilingual in Spanish and many are CPR certified. We are a year round program, Only closing 12 days a year. We are open on some holidays and all teacher service days we offer a safe, fun filled programs during Summer and all schools breaks, which include field trips, water, activities, guest instructors, and much more. Our operating hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. M-F. Including before school care with cereal & milk until 8:00 a.m. The children are walked over to line up and watched until entering the school.
