Super Munchkins Academy is a licensed large home based daycare located in the Parkside neighborhood of San Mateo offering year round care. Super Munchkins caters to children of all ages allowing them to learn through active, hands-on discovery and exploration. Our program is based on a balance of various theorists encouraging children to learn through both play and planned curriculum. Children will have the opportunity to learn on their own and with teacher guidance. Super Munchkins is conveniently located next door to the San Mateo police substation and across the street from the San Mateo Marina Library.
At Little Garden Home Daycare Wonderschool, I approach teaching my children as both an educator and a mother. I believe that is important to foster social and emotional development, where children learn how to express their emotions and respect one another. Our bilingual program provides an opportunity for our students to develop these key communication skills in both English and Spanish. Through the loving and caring environment we provide, the older toddlers in our program learn to become leaders and care for the younger children in our program.
It's Home away from Home. For some they never leave! Grown adults still come back to visit. Lol

The Modern Schoolhouse specializes in boutique childcare and preschool in San Mateo designed to support the whole child during the most important early years of development. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where families and educators work together as partners in a child’s growth. We understand that finding the right childcare or preschool can feel overwhelming, so we focus on building strong relationships with parents while providing a calm, supportive environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. Our program uses a whole-child, play-based approach inspired by Montessori and Reggio-style learning. Through hands-on exploration, guided independence, and meaningful social interaction, children develop the confidence, curiosity, and resilience that support lifelong learning. At The Modern Schoolhouse, early education is designed to feel both thoughtful and joyful — a place where children grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually while families feel confident in their care. Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain small class sizes. Families in San Mateo and nearby communities are encouraged to schedule a tour and experience the environment firsthand.
