The BLC is a Jewish preschool in the heart of South Bay with a creative, supportive and warm Jewish environment. Children forge friendships and learn skills and knowledge needed to succeed in school. We work on academic essentials through wonder, exploration and discovery.
Broadacres Pre-School is a small, intimate school nestled on a quiet 3-acre property in Palos Verdes with horses and an abundance of flowers and trees. We care deeply about each child's emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Our curriculum is based on creating a climate conducive to all three. Our children develop independence, creativity, the ability to solve problems and appropriate methods of handling emotions - all of which instill feelings of confidence, autonomy and self-esteem. Music, stories, art, movement, creative activities and familiarity with our environment are part of our school's program. Children and their families are encouraged to explore our beautiful surroundings, including visiting the horses who live here. The development of a healthy, well-coordinated body and motor skill development is another of our goals. We try to encourage situations where the children can grow in independence, initiative and purposefulness. We want our school to be a place where they can solve problems, learn and develop poise, good manners and self confidence. This leads to a well rounded, Kindergarten-ready child who is excited to learn and grow!

We welcome you to Rolling Hills United Methodist Preschool, which has been providing a loving environment for children to learn and grow since its founding in 1972. Our preschool offers a fun and supportive learning environment where fertile minds absorb the wonders of life and fellowship. We at RHUMPS strive to provide opportunities for active play that encourage children to grow socially, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and creatively. Each of these areas of development builds on the other. Whether it’s solving problems through peer interaction, gaining physical ability through use of outdoor spaces or emotional growth and confidence through age appropriate tasks, it is our goal to encourage and support your child’s growth and development. Classes range from age 2 to 4 including an accelerated BRIDGE program that is a top feeder to local private institutions.
