We began in 1978 with a pilot program of 12 children in one classroom at a church facility. Today we enjoy over 16,000 square feet of Fun. Harmony School was built in 1931 and functioned as a grammar school for many years, then sat empty until we had the opportunity to make it our own. With 6 classrooms, music room, full-sized gym, and playground, we create new ways each year to experience the joys of learning, playing, and challenging preschoolers. At Harmony School we know that this will be your child's introduction to school. We want it to be a positive start that generates an eagerness for learning and confidence in social interactions. Our qualified staff demonstrates a sincere love for children and a committed desire to teach. Each child is considered special and unique. What makes us unique? We are not a day care facility. We are a school, so our emphasis is to focus on the whole child while challenging individual growth. There are 2 scheduled parent/teacher conferences to discuss the observed readiness and development of each child, offering direction and encouragement to parents. Experience. We use Science and Math to teach children critical thinking, problem solving and literacy skills. Every child gets their own set of materials so they can explore in the only way they know--their way! When they're finished exploring, there's always the play portion--a must for all children!
Fort Collins Preschool is a unique parent-involved preschool with families working together in a professionally guided preschool program. Under the guidance of the teacher/director, parents are trained and participate in the classroom approximately twice monthly. Parents share their talents and skills in the classroom with the children, resulting in a reassuring and warm, enjoyable learning environment--hence offering parents the opportunity to directly participate in their child's early education. We offer enriching programs for ages 2 to 5, including a fun parent-and-tot program for 2-year-olds and a unique junior kindergarten class for 5-year-olds who aren't ready for kindergarten.

The First United Methodist Co-op (FUMC) Preschool has provided a high quality, nurturing and professional preschool program for children of the Fort Collins region since 1965. The strength of the FUMC Preschool program, the quality and commitment of our teachers and the involvement of the preschool parents, are the anchors that compel families to return year after year.
Unity Cooperative Preschool (UCP) offers families the ability obtain an affordable, quality education for three, four and five-year-olds. We have a loving environment dedicated to the social and emotional growth of children. UCP is a child, parent, teacher cooperative and as such our families are encouraged to participate, share their talents and work closely with the teacher to support their child's success in their first school experience. We offer a music class once a week and starting this year, a yoga class for the children!
