Our preschool accepts infants from six weeks to ages 4-5. Our nationally recognized research-based curriculum uses weekly lesson plans through all age levels to develop fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional development, promoting curiosity, building friendship skills, learning how to express feelings and creative thinking. A key component involves hands-on learning through play to develop foundational skills including language and literacy, math and reasoning, science, social studies and creative arts.
Central Presbyterian was founded on May 15, 1927, as a mission project of First Presbyterian Church, Miami on Brickell Avenue. The new church was named Central because it was located in the middle of 1920s Miami just west of downtown.
Our preschool locations provide a Language Enrichment program that incorporates English and Spanish to infants, toddlers, threes, fours in our Pre-K, VPK, and Kindergarten/First grade program. We are also a VPK provider (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program), School Readiness, and Step Up scholarships.
