Calvary Assembly of God is a church located in Winter Haven, Fla. The church offers children s, youth and adult ministries. The children s ministries offer various activities, including puppets, songs, and games. It offers an adventure zone for children up to age 4. It offers a nursery and a Christian day care to provide a safe environment for children and uses the A Beka curriculum. Its youth ministry offers various programs and activities, such as fusion united, gathering and extreme student ministries. The adult s ministry offers choir and worship, singles class, women s and men s ministries, and care ministry. The care ministry consists of volunteers and meets its guests and church family every weekend.
We believe that you, the parents, are the primary educators of your children. We are here to assist you in the care and education of each child. We also believe in a strong parent/teacher partnership. Our overall goal is to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of all children. Your child will benefit from a program that is concerned with all aspects of his/her development. Our teachers prepare the classroom environment based upon the strengths, needs, and interests of each child. Throughout the day your child will experience individual time and small/large group work. Your child will be exposed to many skills while at the learning center. These skills include problem solving skills, literacy skills, social skills, computer skills, self-help skills, communication skills, and much more. If you child is between the ages of 3 to 5 years, they will be in the preschool room. The daily schedule includes morning circle time, learning centers, story time and music, and much more. If your child attends the public schools in the surrounding area this program is for them. The daily schedule includes transportation to and from the public schools, outdoor activities, and much more. The caterpillar room is for infants and can accommodate up to eight children.
