Crescent Avenue Weekday School is an accredited Fort Wayne daycare center within a Christian atmosphere. Programs for ages 2-12 are offered including full-day care, before and after school care, and summer school care. Focus is given to reinforcing a child's self-worth and working cooperatively with others through a variety of group activities and opportunities for play.At Crescent Avenue, we see each child as a unique and valuable individual. Each child's interests and needs are met through observations and an understanding of child development. We help children work through behaviors with individualized methods and techniques from Conscious Discipline. Crescent Avenue has secure entrances to the building. We have an "open door" to all parents. We encourage families to be involved in our program. High Scope Educational Approach is the chosen curriculum. This is an "active learning" approach to the education of children.
The Abacus Advantage: Why We Stand Out As a Great Choice for Your Child Care Needs Abacus Early Learning Centers stress the importance of taking the child to the activity and not the activity to the child. We offer an indoor gym, a size appropriate cafeteria, and numerous outdoor playgrounds in addition to state approved classrooms.Abacus believes that educational excellence is achieved through a systematically organized environment where the teacher creates intentional learning opportunities that offer hands on experiences. Children are offered structured learning centers, small and large group activities, and individualized experiences on a daily basis. Through observation and assessment teachers will develop an educational plan based on individual strengths and challenges.
