We are a traditional non-profit preschool serving children between 2.5 - 5 years old living in Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities since 1975. We are governed by a board made up of currently enrolled families, and staff. The Early Learning Center provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for preschool age children of all cultural backgrounds and abilities. We believe that learning takes place primarily through exploratory play. We offer a variety of both directed and non-directed activities to encourage children to develop a strong sense of curiosity, self-esteem, and independence.

Founded in 1974, The Discovery Center is a preschool and kindergarten program serving families in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. Based in Ann Arbor, Mich., the center offers a curriculum that focuses on dramatic play, creative art, math activities, music, stories, science/nature, communication skills and outdoor play. It also provides full day and half day preschool programs as well as a program for kindergarten-aged children. The Discovery Center is accredited by the National Academy of Early childhood Programs.
