Pittsford United Nursery School (PUNS) is a play-based preschool for 2-5 year olds, conveniently located in Pittsford, NY. At PUNS, we share Piaget's belief that children learn by doing and that play is the work of childhood. We strive to teach the "whole child" through educational instruction and play-based learning throughout all of our classrooms, including enrichment courses that enable children to expand on interests in STEM, literature, art, music and more. Children are further engaged in hands-on learning through educational centers that change throughout the year, dedicated gross motor time, our large, fenced-in playground and the PUNS Garden. We offer small class sizes, experienced teachers and flexible cooperative options to enable parents to work and learn in the classroom alongside their child(ren). The selection of a good preschool program for your child is one of the many important decisions you will make as a parent. Our Christian centered atmosphere and staff provides love and tender care to each individual child! We provide a developmentally appropriate program where a child can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, academically and physically. We have an open door policy and strongly encourage parents to visit and become active participants by helping with special activities and field trips. We follow NYS regulations and all of our Lead teachers hold teaching certificates. Serving the children and families of our community and surrounding communities since 1991. We offer morning and afternoon classes for 3's, 4's and Pre-Kindergarten. We also offer morning 2's classes! Our preschool is non-profit, Christian preschool located in the Penfield United Methodist Church.
Penfield Village Nursery School & Kindergarten, also known as PVNS, is a nonprofit educational facility that serves children between the ages of 3 and 5. Operational for more than 40 years, it offers early education programs and organizes various daily activities. The school also features an indoor gymnasium and playground. Penfield Village Nursery School & Kindergarten conducts various dramatic plays and parent-teacher confrences. In addition, it has climbers, slides, tricycles and scooters. The school organizes field trips and works toward the development of social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of young children. Penfield Village Nursery School & Kindergarten also conducts cooking classes and performs science and art projects.
