Head Start of Lane County provides a range of developmental services to low-income children in the United States. It serves pre-school children between the ages of 3 and 5. The program offers a variety of educational services in the areas of nutrition, emotional development, and physical and mental health. It provides various sports, food and cooking activities. The program organizes field trips for children. It also offers several games and music classes. It works to prevent childhood depression and domestic violence. The program offers a variety of food items with vegetables, fruits and grain products. Head Start of Lane County manages a staff of health care professionals and volunteers.
