Academy of Knowledge is an affordable infant and toddler day care. We provide quality early education & child care in Charleston SC for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years of age.
It is the philosophy of The Oaks Children's Academy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. The Oaks Children's Academy is a unique, integrated childcare facility for children who are 6 weeks - 5 years of age. Our number one goal is to provide the kind of environment and the kind of influences that encourage all children to become creative, independent, responsible, well rounded, self-directed adults who can make decisions for themselves. The broad range of age appropriate activities will easily engage toddlers and preschoolers. The mutual respect and collaboration between parents, teachers, aides, children and peers are of vital importance in helping children meet their goals of independence and self-awareness.
Our approach has deep respect for the childhood years and understands the psychology and science behind the importance of play for young children. Our program is inspired by Waldorf Early Childhood Education, a play-based experiential learning approach, has been educating children in this respectful, gentle way for 90 years in 83 countries around the world.
