The Weekday Preschool Program and the Happy Hive of Busy Bees is a Christian outreach ministry of Lakeside Presbyterian Church for young children and their families. We are in our 61st year of providing developmentally appropriate Christian environments where young children can grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially and physically. The pupil/teacher ratio is 2 to 6 in the Toddlers Morning Out, 2 to 8 in the Playgroup and 2 to 10 in the Preschool and PreK. Parents play a very important role in the life of the Weekday Preschool. Parents are encouraged to visit and participate in everyday as well special activities. Siblings and extended family are invited to participate in special activities held during the year. No food service is provided. Parents are responsible for sending a healthy snack(AM and/or PM) with their child each day that they attend and a well-balanced lunch if they are enrolled in PreK or Happy Hive Lunch Bunch.

Gingerbread Cottage Preschool is a half-day licensed program that runs September through May, serving children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. The preschool has been in the Glen Allen area for the past 40 years. We offer a positive, hands on curriculum that is structured yet flexible to prepare students for future learning. We offer an early drop off program and an enrichment class for three and four year old's once a week.
