At Learn-a-Lot Bilingual Preschool, we believe that providing a safe, nurturing, and challenging learning environment for all children is the basis for future success. We understand the importance of early education and the rapid brain development and growth in the early stages of a child's life. With this in mind, we strive to integrate a healthy balance of the Montessori approach as well as include teacher-directed activities to achieve new skills and goals. Also, as many studies have shown, children who are exposed to a bilingual atmosphere perform better in standardized reading and writing tests. Learning a new language as a young child increases attention, focus, and cognition, giving your child an early advantage and head start in their education. With this in mind, we will allocate a portion of our learning time to include basic Vietnamese!
"Sprout In-Home Preschool is located in the diverse Seward Park/ Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle. We provide a play-based program with some teacher-led activities and a variety of open-ended materials that allow children to build, create, pretend, and use their own ideas. Our low teacher to child ratio (1:4) allows us to bond with each child and work with him or her individually, and to establish a strong working partnership with parents and caregivers. Project 2000 is a licensed Preschool & Family Childcare that recognizes that the first 2000 days of a child’s life is a crucial time to lay the foundation for school and later life success. Our program provides hands-on learning through play to promote Social-emotional, physical, language and literacy, math, science, social studies and creativity. For our Christian community, our curriculum will honor your child’s faith through the “grow your faith” portion of our curriculum. We are open Monday-Friday 6am to 6pm. We are licensed to serve children from birth to 13 years however, our strengths are in serving infants to 5 years old or until they enter Kindergarten. We accept All Subsidy Programs! Some of our services includes Ongoing child assessment, Diaper Services, Free Books and Home Activities, Invitation to our Family Music Program, 3 Meals and developmental screening. We use the Experience Preschool curriculum which is a research-based curriculum that supports your child’s growing curiosity. As your child participates in our program, they will experience positive interactions and relationships with adults, engage in daily routines that support healthy brain development and build self-regulation skills. Our program directors holds a master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and have more than a decade of combined experience in the field.
We currently offer both three-year-old and pre-kindergarten classes. With an emphasis on the whole child, we strive to nurture the zest for living that is a natural part of early childhood and provide an atmosphere which would allow them to love learning. As teachers of young children, we like to see each child grow to face the world with confidence, competence and compassion. We can be most helpful in this by providing a well-balanced variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage emotional/social, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth. It is equally important that we support and serve the family needs of our children. It is our goal to equip the parents for active participation in their child's education.
