"Sprout In-Home Preschool is located in the diverse Seward Park/ Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle. We provide a play-based program with some teacher-led activities and a variety of open-ended materials that allow children to build, create, pretend, and use their own ideas. Our low teacher to child ratio (1:4) allows us to bond with each child and work with him or her individually, and to establish a strong working partnership with parents and caregivers. Our program specializes in Bilingual Chinese-English education, with an emphasis on advanced academics and social-emotional development.
Neighborhood Preschool is a small, private preschool in West Seattle. Stephanie offers active learning and a gentle approach to a first school experience. Children gain social skills, build friendships, and engage in fun pre-kindergarten learning. Curriculum includes free and structured play, and experiences in science, math, language, art, music, dance, and more. Monthly field trips allow us to share an experience of the world and our community, and Show and Tell and class jobs give children practice in communicating ideas and having responsibility. Compassionate care means children can make mistakes and have bad days, and will always be welcomed back. Emphasis on child's strengths and capabilities, and the value of practice and hard work. Areas of challenge are met with tools and teqniques that encourage self-regulation and self-control as well as a postive self image. Parents receive montly curriculum plans and school newsletter, and weekly emails.

Mount Baker Preschool is a unique Waldorf cooperative preschool in Seattle. Our focus is on nurturing creative play, providing access to nature, building empathy, and fostering community. We provide a nurturing whole-child educational experience for families in our community. We seek to create a space where children and parents can experience a slower, more intentional pace, diminishing the stress of daily life. We alternate between outdoor play, tree climbing, music, walks, indoor art, and story activities. Our community is a group of diverse individuals who strive to love and care for all of the children as if they were our own. Children are self-directed in their play, and encouraged to be compassionate with each other and with their environment. We emphasize imagination, expression and creativity.
