Welcome to Bigleaf Afternoon Preschool Program. We’re pleased to offer afternoon care and enrichment for children ages 3-6 in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood. The program consists of play-based learning opportunities to engage in all learning domains with a focus on social- emotional development. We offer daily outdoor play, afternoon snack, and follow the Seattle Public Schools Calendar of observed holidays/closures.
With year-round whole day, part-day and after-school programs for children and special vacation sessions, Hilltop Children's Center encourages children to explore and investigate the world around them on their own terms. The programs foster interest in the unknown, respect for nature and playful joy to the learning process in early childhood education.

Established in 1995, Nurturing Knowledge Schools provide a holistic and innovative approach to early childhood education in Seattle. In every schoolhouse, you'll find a ceiling-high birch tree, festooned with children's artwork, string lights, and myriad reflections of the unique projects our students explore. Across cultures, birch represents growth, renewal, adaptability, grace, and closeness to nature ... all things we hold dear at Nurturing Knowledge School.
