Early Childhood Education is an educational program for students pursuing a career in the education and care of young children. The programs cover various areas, such as social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of children up to 8. The institute provides associate degree courses. It also offers one-year certificate course for child care center directors and family in-home providers. The institute offers courses in basic child care training, fostering social competence, child development, dynamics of family relationships and child care administration programs. It also provides practical training by placing students in various child care centers, and public and elementary schools. Early Childhood Education is part of Spokane Falls Community Education, located in Spokane, Wash.
