"We know how to teach your child math." Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting - our unique approach enables us to effectively explain math concepts well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! "We pinpoint your child's learning needs, meet them where they are, and take them where they need to go." Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master. It doesn't stop there - our encouraging instructors continually check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the concepts we've taught. The results are transformative - kids will see measurable changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.
Need a tutor who sees you as more than just a client? Beacon Academics provides holistic academic guidance to young people. We see your student as an academic individual but also as a person, because we know that success is dependent on a variety of factors. Our well-rounded guidance and support enables students to feel confident in their ability and potential, and thrive in and out of the classroom. We weave conversations about complex ideas in with the student's everyday interests. This helps them stay engaged and see the value in what they're learning. No student is the same, so we constantly reassess progress, self confidence, and ability so that we can shift to the needs of your student. We draw from a well of a diverse private and public educational background to better match your student's goals with tangible "to-do's," and are sensitive to a student's various identities, whether they be cultural, religious, or activity based. Contact us today via phone or our website to schedule a free consultation to create a customized plan to get your student where they want/need to go. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you and yours!

By partnering with parents, I help students gain confidence in learning math and science topics and help create a foundation for growth in school. Having my expert assistance will customize Study Habits, will improve Test Taking Skills, and produce better grades. Having my guidance will reduces the time a student spends in self-doubt and with a "fear of failure". The most demanding courses in my experience are Algebra & Geometry. I help students master these subjects by getting them to learn the logic of problem solving. I tech them how to read and understand a math text book. I show them how to learn efficiently and retain the information for test taking. Science courses are difficult at first but with a conceptual approach, students soon find that they can read and understand the material without much assistance.. I serve the following cities: Carmel Valley, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Cardiff, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Oceanside, San Marcos, Carlsbad, and Vista Please contact for rates and tutoring plans!
