I am a licensed National Board-Certified Teacher. Only three percent of all teachers in the United States have earned this honor. I am licensed to teach Elementary school in California and Massachusetts. I taught elementary school for 27 years, and since retiring from the classroom in 2020 I have tutored students in Grades 1-9. I can help a student catch up with concepts that have been taught and support him/her with new concepts. One of my strengths is being able to create engaging activities that either teach new material or reinforce what is learned in the classroom. I can support the teacher's lessons by either following his/her guidelines or by showing multiple ways to understand what the student needs to know. I tutor in person and online in the Boston area and online nationally.
