My name is Kate, and as a teacher with the WCSD for 25+ years, and a mom to a Dyslexic kiddo, I know, watching your student struggle, breaks your heart and throws you into a bit of a tail spin. How do I help my child? How do I get a diagnosis? Do I need a diagnosis to get them tutoring help? I am here to help answer all of these questions. I started Decoding Dyslexia with the goal of working specifically with dyslexic students using the Barton Reading and Spelling program. This is a research-based program I have seen work firsthand with my own son, who was undiagnosed until he was 9. After completing the program, he was able to graduate from high school with a 3.8 GPA! I look forward to helping your child stop struggling and start their journey to successful reading!
