At Mathnasium Learning Centers, we make math make sense! Whether your child started out far behind or already ahead in math, Mathnasium will help them leap ahead because we know that any child can be successful in math--it's a matter of teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. Our experienced math tutors utilize our proprietary teaching materials and techniques, The Mathnasium Method™, to deliver a customized learning plan designed to address each student's needs. Our instructional approach goes beyond traditional math tutoring to develop understanding and build a love for math. If math is a problem, Mathnasium can solve it. Students will grow more excited and confident about math--and their grades will reflect that. For students who already excel in math, the sky's the limit. They will work to expand their math skills and, with math learning made exciting, can see all the doors that being great at math can open.
Unlike a math class, Mathnasium teaches to the individual. Each child is given a comprehensive assessment that pinpoints their exact strengths and weaknesses and a customized learning plan based on their specific learning goals. Our expert instructors provide face-to-face instruction at the right pace for each child. We serve students K-12 in Mount Vernon, Pelham, New Rochelle and the Wakefield section of the Bronx. Unlike private tutors, our curriculum and methodology have been proven through the success of hundreds of thousands of students. Tutors are reactive, Mathnasium is proactive; we build each child's needed mathematical skills methodically and comprehensively.
Ivy League Graduate Tutors
We are a group of New York State Certified Teachers who have both classroom and tutoring experience. Our tutors' expertise in their fields of study allow them to provide quality individualized instruction. Port Tutoring provides personalized attention to each of our students. Instruction is tailored to meet individual needs and is designed to build upon students' academic strengths and learning styles. We work together with each student and his/her parents to develop both short-term and long-term achievement goals. Assessments are provided on a regular basis. We are available by appointment seven days a week.
