I offer private tutoring both virtual and in person. I grew up with so much difficulty learning. No one considered testing me or even took the time to ask me what was going on. It wasn't until I was well past my mid-20s that dyslexia, ADHD, and my panic disorders were diagnosed. Some stemmed from my time in the Army, and some I was born with. I had to learn the hard way, which I started to figure out around 35 years old. Then, suddenly, I accomplished a major goal—achieving a perfect GPA while earning my paralegal degree. From that point, I knew I could learn anything. I have taught several students, most of whom had learning disabilities; some just struggled with tests in general. I look forward to helping you, and I hope to tutor your family members—or maybe you! I will stick with my clients until their goals are achieved. If you think another tutor would be a better fit, I have no problem introducing you to them. Either way, I constantly reassess during every session, creating a teaching and study guide specific to that student. It's not just about the subject, but also about reminding them to use the tools I teach—everything from breathing exercises to which colors make reading easier, and some methods so out of the box you'd think I was crazy at first.
