My name is Lydie. I am an enthusiastic and devoted French teacher with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 23 years of teaching experience. I have been very successful at teaching hundreds of students of various ages and levels of proficiency. Currently, I am giving private and online lessons to 35 students on weekly basis. Many of my students have been with me for about a year or longer. They are learning fast while having fun at the same time. They are extremely satisfied because they are getting top-notch tutoring for a very reasonable fee. I am using the Communicative language teaching method. My students learn and practice French through the interaction with one another and with me. My goal is to enable my students to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would likely find themselves in. I use role plays and simulations of real world situations. I let my students select role plays that interest them and that will give them an opportunity to practice what they have learned. My students learn basic skills such as describing, inquiring, informing, explaining, inviting, suggesting, complaining and notions such as the expression of time, quantity and location.
