I provide in-person science and mathematics tutoring for students in courses up to and including the college-level. My qualifications include: years of tutoring experience and a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where I double majored in Biochemistry & Biology. I try to tailor my teaching style to each particular student's goals and interests. Typically this includes: using real-world applications of the concepts learned and reinforced via hands-on demonstrations. In my experience, seeing a phenomenon firsthand is the best way to not just learn about it but, even more importantly, remember it. Additionally, I take advantage of "tried and true" teaching methods and materials--mainly worksheets and problem sets. I particularly enjoy tutoring students in the sciences because of the opportunities to creatively illustrate scientific and physical principles via demonstrations and applications.

Welcome to the in home tutor. We have been providing in home tutoring services for 7 years Our tutoring is done in home, based on your schedule. We do not ask you to sign a long term contract in order to receive our tutoring services. We offer math tutoring, reading tutoring, science tutoring and writing tutoring for all ages. This includes algebra, geometry, calculus, biology and chemistry for HS. We also cover middle school and elementary math as well as reading and writing tutors.
