Surbec Environmental was founded in 1997 to commercialize several unique surfactant technologies developed at the University of Oklahoma. These technologies include surfactant flooding for the removal of nonaqueous phase liquids, surfactant selection, injection and extraction, contaminant removal, surfactant recovery and reuse and groundwater pumping and treating. The company has also expanded into microbial-based processes, offering microbiological techniques for organic, nitrate, chlorinated and metal contaminants.
