Mission Statement Est. in 2016, Carabao Kids is a home-based learning community that provides a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for families to thrive together. Once based in Daly City, we are now in Oakland, serving infants as young as 10 months old. We strive to provide the best care and attention to each child, with a small adult to child ratio (1:3). We support their developmental needs through a variety of creative play, sensory exploration, storytelling, music and movement, and outdoor adventures. We strengthen the community by supporting working families with quality care and learning opportunities for their little ones. Enrollment We accept children 10 months and older. They may remain enrolled until aging out at 2.5-3 years old. Grace Children's Academy's program is based on the Reggio Emilia approach. It is play-based, child centered and uses experiential learning in a gentle, mindfulness, creative and relationship-driven environment. The approach is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. Children form their own personality during the early years of development and are endowed with "a hundred languages", through which they can express their ideas. The aim of the Reggio approach is to teach how to use these symbolic languages (e.g., painting, sculpting, drama) in everyday life thus the child learns that the world is a lab and their ability to learn and connect is limitless.
